GrinGO, LLC and National Safety Council Arizona Chapter Announce Strategic Partnership to Boost U.S. Tourist Safety in Mexico.
Phoenix, AZ – [December 10, 2024] – GrinGO, LLC, a Phoenix-based travel technology company known for its Mexico travel app GrinGO, announced a new partnership with the National Safety Council Arizona Chapter (ACNSC). A MOU signing ceremony was hosted at the Arizona-Sonora Consular Forum hosted by the U.S. State Department and Mexico’s Secretaria Relaciones Exteriores (SRE) at Arizona State University’s Thunderbird Campus. This collaboration is set to enhance the safety and experience of U.S. tourists traveling across Mexico while supporting secure cross-border commerce. The partnership will address critical aspects of road safety, infrastructure, security, and provide essential support services.
A Shared Commitment to Safety
This partnership between GrinGO and ACNSC underscores a shared commitment to making travel in Mexico safer for U.S. tourists. By leveraging GrinGO’s strategic alliance with Mexico’s Secretariat of Tourism (SECTUR), and ACNSC’s expertise in safety initiatives, the collaboration will deliver valuable digital resources to minimize travel risks and ensure a secure borderless experience for U.S. visitors. ACNSC will provide promotional support and materials to boost awareness and encourage donations. GrinGO will also contribute regular content on cross-border travel safety initiatives, helping to promote safety awareness among travelers.

Key Areas of Focus
GrinGO will promote the partnership and operate under its newly launched website www.MexicoTravelSAFE.com, and will seek donations to fund U.S. safety initiatives in Mexico. Donations will be collected through various channels, including online platforms, fundraising events, and corporate partnerships. All donations will be tax-deductible through ACNSC’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit designation.
- GrinGO and ACNSC will jointly manage the allocation of funds to ensure transparency and efficacy in addressing the following priorities:
- Road Safety: Maintenance of Mexico’s 205 designated tourist routes, prioritizing highways and major roads frequently used by tourists to reduce accidents and enhance overall travel confidence.
- Ángeles Verdes: Financial support for the Ángeles Verdes, a team of trained mechanics and safety personnel offering free roadside assistance to travelers in Mexico.
- Tourist Assistance Center: The Center will integrate advanced communication technologies to provide real-time GPS-based advisories, hotlines, and emergency support for U.S. tourists.
- Natural Disaster Relief: Funds will support recovery efforts after natural disasters, such as hurricanes, ensuring that tourism and commerce can quickly resume.
- Defensive Driving Training: ACNSC will integrate the National Safety Council’s defensive driving curriculum into the training programs for the Ángeles Verdes to promote road safety awareness among travelers.
